Fun, but not worth the work
My 5yo enjoys playing with this, but it also causes alot of frustration as it constantly (and I mean CONSTANTLY) comes apart. I bought this last spring from Costco. Hopefully they've improved the design since then but it looks exactly the same from the photo. I initially thought that the shaking action powered the cars but it's actually just the trigger for the battery powered engines. I would not buy this again even in the sub $20 range.

Its fun and durable
This is a well made race track. The cars are sturdy and run well (off the track) although they do seem to get stuck in areas where the track snaps together (on the track). If I had enough room to set it up and leave it up, my son would probably still play with it. He has had it for a year, and is 3 1/2 now. I might pull it out again now that he is getting older and bigger. He likes to be able to hold his cars in one hand, but these cars are much bigger than the hotwheels cars he almost always carrys around. A miniature version of this toy might have been a huge hit for us.

The only real cons for me is that it takes up too much room, and is sort of a hassle to set up. When it is set up, he only plays with it for short periods at a time, and then moves on to something else. Keeping it set up all the time is not worth using the space.

Fun to play with!
This track is pretty big and it takes some patience to put together. But is is fun once your able to shake the cars, let them loose and wacth them crash into each other. The track stays together as long as you don't move it around on the floor too much, that's when the pieces detatch from when another. Little hands can't put it together well, but they have fun playing with it!

I bought this for my 3&1/2 yr old daughter for Easter, because she saw the commercials on tv, and really wanted it. It is cute with nice little details, but it does not hold together at all. My daughter didn't want to play with it because it fell apart everytime she picked it up, so finally we used super glue to hold every single part together and now she likes to play with it. Overall, it is made well, just glue it as you put it together the first time.

My 5 yr old daughter saw a commercial for this toy & saved her money for it. I purchased a road ripper for my 3 yr old son so he would not feel left out. When he saw his sisters new toy he could care less about his new toy & wanted to play with this too!! It's a very cute set & offers lots of imagination play. They play very well together with this. They race her pollys down each side to see who gets to the bottom first. It's cute that it comes with 2 floats for the dolls to ride on. Nice addition to our Polly collection. This one is definately a new favorite!

This toy is pretty fun. Iv'e been wanting it, so when i saw it for 12-something at wally world, i had to have it. I usually never mix "playsets"(like say, lps with pooly, or just regular plastic animals w/the lps sets), but with my polly pools i like to take my plastic leopleurodon, Chinky, for a swim.(etc.) Im just OCD like that. But back on target, here.....This pool isnt quite as fun as my foutain falls sets, i dont think, but i still like it. With my other pools, i think it detracts greatly from the fun to play without water in them. With this, it really doesn't seem that with this set..maybe even like it is more WITHOUT water. ...

features (ish)
*You can flip the big sceen tv down to make a deck-type thing -my friend&i thought it was fun to put one of the sparkly kitty pets right on the hinge, then push the button to open the tv part, and watch the kitty go flying..;) poor cat. The deck does have trouble latching, and it isnt a very secure latch when it is...

*race down the slide -it is hard to really put anyone down the slide without the boat/raft/tubes they are weighted, and also trigger the race winner flag things.(as does anything that hits the "buttons") The pic shows both "flags" up, but this is impossible unless you have a faulty toy or pry the second one up. The first polly down the slide triggers their "flag" signifying she is the winner(even if you werent racing, lol)

*Swing - you can push polly (or anyone else you can get to stay on there) on the swing(if you cn get her in, as this is mildly diffcult) by pushing a button above it(the swing. You kind of have to get in a weird rythm pushing it, otherwise it will catch and mess up. you could just push polly the "old-fashioned" way

*color-change -polly&her puppy have color change features. when you buy this set, they will most likely already have happened.(polly's pink hair&both of their polka-dotted swim suits) So stick them in a glass of hot water to reverse them. I figured that after a while, they would go back on their own, but they haven't, which i am happy about. to make them appear(or re-appear) stick them in the pool, or if your pool is warm, stick them in a glass of cold water.

*rubber -i love the jelly-belts on the rafts, and the jelly goggles for the polly pup

*slides- fun. you can also play with this set without them.

I never rly liked polly clothes, as they restrict polly's movement. my polly's almost always hung out "naked"....so the pool is a good excuse for them not to have to have clothes! lol

I like this polly's tan, suit, face(size,shape,&look),and hair. I love the puppy.

Very good price, especially compared to other polly sets, etc.
so if you see it cheap, BUY IT with no hesitation! it only has a few flaws, and all-in-all is fun!
